Lemon & Metho
Find a large preserving jar or other glass container, fill it with washed but unpeeled lemons, then add methylated spirits to soak the lemons in. The metho should fill the jar with to within 25mm of the top, leaving a small air gap at the top. Set the jar in a cool dark place like a cupboard for 14 days, after which it is ready to use. It can be decantered into smaller glass bottles if that's easier to manage, or just take small amounts out each time and allow the remainder to stay in the jar with the lemons.
The liquid can now be used topically to relieve arthritic joints by simply applying and massaging it in. Do not take internally.
